Diamond grading covers mainly four grades: The 4 C’s:\u00a0Carat weight,\u00a0Color, Clarity and\u00a0Cut.<\/p>\n

Carat weight<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Carat is the standard unit of weight for diamonds and other gemstones.
\nDiamonds are broken down into carats and points. 1.00 carat equals to hundred points and refers to weight, not to size because diamonds are measured in millimetres. One carat is equivalent to 0,2 gram.<\/p>\n

Color<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A diamond is graded to determine its relative absence of color, which range from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown).<\/p>\n

Clarity<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A diamond is assigned a clarity grade based on the number and placement of internal features (inclusions) and surface characteristics (blemishes) that are visible under 10x magnification. Clarity scale contains eleven clarity grades ranging from Flawless (no inclusions, no blemishes) to I3.<\/p>\n

Cut<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The cut refers to the proportions, the symmetry and the polish. It results in brilliance and life.
\nThe cut of a diamond can also be referred to the shape of a stone (round, oval, pear, emerald, marquise, radiant are the most common). Cut grading range from Excellent to Poor.<\/p>\n
